How is it that I was posting more frequently when I had no DSL connection…? To say that I’m busy is about as pointless as announcing that humans breathe air.
But, the day is about half over and about half of the items on my to-do list have been scratched off. It’s going to be a good day. I can just tell. And, since I have not added any additional items to my list as the day wears on, I figure I’m ahead of the game. Hence the blog break before the flurry of the afternoon soccer games, finishing chores in between and prepping for dinner.
The day started out exceedingly well. Only two grocery stores to hit and everything I needed appeared to be in stock.
Then I got to the line, or should I say that the line got to me – all the way back in the refrigerated section.
“What gives?” I asked myself.
The woman in line ahead of me, leaning wearily over a cart stuffed to the brim, turned and said, “Didn’t ya hear? Big snowstorm. Tomorrow night.”
Reflectively, I looked at my watch and countered, “But it’s February! My crocuses are trying to push through!”
She shrugged her shoulders and resumed leaning.
I leaned to my left and grabbed another gallon of milk, cursing a ground hog I had never even met.
Thankfully, it wasn’t a big snowstorm for us after all! But you are right, let’s move onto Spring already!
