Author of the contemporary romance series Assignment: Romance, Barbara may be a corporate minion by day, but by night and weekends (and the occasional bank holiday), she’s the author of slice-of-life romantic comedies. A second-generation journalist, her work has also appeared in Chicago Tribune Media publications as well as the lifestyle sites, Mom.Me and BlogHer.

A member of the Women’s Fiction Writers Association and Romance Writers of America, Barbara was dubbed an “Indie Star” by Publisher’s Weekly after they granted False Start, her first manuscript, a coveted starred review. The first in her Assignment: Romance series, this novel was followed by five more.

Barbara lives in the Chicago area.
